In the fall of 2021 I designed a concept for a collaboration between Teater Jævn, Hedensted Bibliotekerne (The libraries of Hedensted Municipality) and the NGO Swinging Europe. The project was named Dinosaur – Imagination and was a hybrid physical-digital project for children aged 3 to 6. The project would use the different competencies of the theatre, the librarians and the experience of the NGO to create something completely new for the involved partners.
In Dinosaur – Imagination I used our theatre play Everything is a dinosaur as a thematic framework, and designed a concept combining physical theatrical workshops and a set of digital activities focusing on storytelling, books and drawing. Through out the pandemic I have been researching different kinds of digital formats to be able to design projects in a digital space, which came in handy here.
The project contained 4 physical workshops which was planned by the director Lene Skytt of Everything is a dinosaur, and was used as part of the artistic development of the play. The project also contained 3 digital workshops which were designed by me, and run by our two actors Sofie Ancher Vea and Steffen Nielsen, two librarians from the library and illustrator Anya Winqvist. Two of the workshop were recorded and shared as a video afterwards and the last workshop – the drawing workshop – was a live workshop using Zoom.
