The citizenship test

In 2017, the Mungo Park Kolding theatre decided to create a cabaret about the Danish citizenship test called “Indfødsretsprøven”. I was tasked with creating a song on the theme, which resulted in the song “Indfødsretsprøven”. The test has been a subject of much criticism in Denmark due to its many obscure questions that most Danes would not be able to answer, such as the number of movies in a specific series and more.

Within the song, the storyteller had prepared for the test and expected to have a lot to discuss with native Danes. However, they quickly discovered that neither their colleagues nor travel companions knew much about the topics.
